Sony today released the Walkman E Series, a flash memory based range of digital music players, which claim to give three hours of battery life for only three minutes of charging.

Sony said its new series offers up to 28 hours of music in ATRAC format, and up to 27 hours in MP3 format, based on Lithium-ion rechargeable batteries.
The Walkman kit includes the latest version of SonicStage 3.4 software for music management. Optional accessories include a sports arm band ($30), protective skin ($20), splashproof housing ($40) and an accessories pack of three USB lids and a sports clip ($20).
