Sony Australia’s DSLR Business Development Manager, John Wallace said, “The Alpha Centre is designed to foster a community where professional photographers can share their knowledge, whilst also enabling proficient imaging enthusiasts to learn more about digital SLR technology and improve their photography skills. With tutorials on key topics, live forums and tips and techniques from professionals, digital SLR users of all levels will find inspiration for their craft.”
Interactivity and participation is encouraged with photo gallery submissions and discussion forums. A range of stunning images taken by Alpha digital SLR users will be available for downloading as your PC’s wallpaper or sending to a friend. Information on special events, promotions and competitions will also be available on the site.
Well known photographers from the Australian photographic community will also lend their support to the initiative by providing articles and tips on the website. Sony will continue to add to the professional expertise of the Alpha Centre by encouraging other photographers to contribute their ideas and creations.
The Alpha Centre will offer information and advice on choosing the right camera body and a ‘Lens Filter’ has been created to enable users to select the right lens depending on their requirements.
