Space Saving Ovens From Smeg

Kitchen appliance maker Smeg has created a new range of 70cm ovens that, the company claims, offer the same capacity and performance as 90cm models but occupies less space.

These new ovens range from a standard model with a 60-minute timer and six cooking functions, to a fully automatic version with 10 cooking functions and a rotisserie. In addition to this, all the new ovens have a 92 litre gross capacity.

The SA705X, considered to be the standard model, has a 60 minute count down timer, optional catalytic liners and six cooking functions including fan-forced, full width fan grill, static grill and static bake.

The SA708X features fully automatic and semi automatic cooking , can be pre-programmed to begin and stop cooking, has ten cooking functions – including fan forced, fan-assisted, conventional static baking, rotisserie function, and a defrost mode.

Finally, on top of the 70cm range is the SA710X, an oven which the company claims to offer a special baker’s function that provides heat from below and a fan from the back of the oven to ensure crisp, light pastries in addition to its ten cooking functions, fan-forced and super cook options (ideal when baking large quantities of food), as well as a static bake and rotisserie cooking modes. The model also comes with a fully programmable analogue digital clock.

All three ovens in this range come with clean, simple lines, understated detailing and all satin stainless steel finish. In addition, the oven is finished in AA anti-acid easy clean enamel, a removable roof liner, a removable double-glazed thermo reflective door, and catalytic liners in its walls.

The company also claims that these 70cm ovens are considered some of the most efficient on the Australian market, as it offers a patented thermoseal technology whereby the oven is completely sealed to ensure no loss of heat.

The Smeg range of 70cm ovens is available nationally from specialist appliance outlets, electrical retailers and some department stores.  Each carries a two year in-home warranty on parts and labour.

RRP:

SA705X: $2590
SA708X: $2990
SA710X: $3490
