Survey Finds Australians Happy To Live With Smashed Smartphones

Finder.com.au is claiming that only 36% of people who have their smartphone screen smashed have it repaired within six month.

Their survey findings suggested that the majority were happy to
keep on using their phone despite the damage – at least in the short term.

Finder found 12% held on for another six months after that and 13%
lived with their smashed screen for a over a year before replacing it.

It’s clear that contracts played a role in these numbers, with 24%
waiting until their contract was up to buy a new phone.

What’s more, they found that only 44% of those who replaced their
phone did so because the damage prevented their phone from working. In
comparison, almost a quarter of respondents to the survey cited professional
and social appearance being the driving factor for replacing their handset.
