Swann has introduced two new professional HD security systems, designed for use during the day and night, both indoors and outdoors.Comprising six 720p cameras, four bullet-style cameras and two dome cameras, Swann states that its 8 Channel Digital Video Recorder system records for 105-plus days onto a 1 TB hard drive, with the cameras delivering night vision of up to 20 metres and featuring an IP66 weatherproof rating for indoor/outdoor use.
Two more Swann PRO-T835 or PRO-T836 cameras can additionally be added for full eight channel monitoring.
The 4 Channel Digital Video Recorder system, for indoor and outdoor use, includes four 720p bullet cameras, providing 20 metre infrared night vision, with users able to record from four channels for 105-plus days onto a 500 GB hard drive.
Users can view live or recorded video via mobile devices, including iPhones, iPads and Android devices, using the free SwannView Link app, and can also view live or playback video in HD on TVs and monitors via an HDMI connection or VGA port.
Jeremy Stewart, Swann VP global marketing, stated that the “systems are perfect for homes, retail stores and small businesses, enabling owners to cut the cost of crime and keep an eye on what’s happening around their premises”.

The 8 Channel Digital Video Recorder (SWDVK-8720T4D2) system is priced at $699 and the 4 Channel Digital Video Recorder (SWDVK-4720P4) system $499, with both kits available from July at Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi, Bing Lee and Officeworks.
