Tab Price War: 16Gb Asus Eee Slider $694 JB HiFi But 32Gb CHEAPER At Harvey’s

Eee Pad Slider is racing into town for $649, it has been confirmed. But pricing are sliding between JB Hi Fi and Harvey Norman, it appears.

The 10.1″ Android Honeycomb 3.1 Asus  EP- AL 101 (Australian model) released last week boasts powerful NVIDIA Tegra 2 1.0GHz dual-core CPU under the hatch, Adobe Flash support, USB 2.0, mini HDMI, MicroSD Card Reader, Bluetooth, dual cameras (1.2 MP front, 5 MP rear) and one year unlimited ASUS WebStorage.

Slider is selling at JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman and Bing Lee and official RRP pricing is $649 (16 GB) and $749 (32GB).

However, JB’s are charging $694 online for 16GB, and a quick call to one of its Sydney store’s revealed it has 32GB version in stock but is selling then for $787.

Rivals Bing Lee are selling both 16/32GB Slider models for the correct RRP.

However, Harvey’s have gone the other way –  advertising the 32GB version for a knock down price of $687 online – out-pricing its usually cheaper rival JB – meaning you can buy a Eee Slider with double the memory for less than the 16GB version.

Harvey’s are not stocking the 16GB version.
