Users who own LG TVs or Blu-ray players with NetCast can rent selected High Definition titles and have these delivered direct to their television sets for viewing in minutes. Telstra says that an HD movie rental costs $6.99 for 48 hours viewing and will be ready to begin viewing for seven days.
BigPond Movies accessed using most BigPond broadband services are unmetered and the usage is not counted towards the monthly usage limits.
Telstra Head of IPTV, Ben Kinealy said, “With just a few button presses on your TV remote, you can be sitting down with the family and watching the latest blockbuster movie in amazing High Definition without having to leave your lounge room.”
“Telstra has launched the new high definition movies section in selected televisions with the BigPond Movies application and will be adding HD titles to the Telstra T-Box in the month ahead.”
“With BigPond Movies we are committed to making sure we have the best in entertainment that is convenient to use,” concluded Kinealy.
