TomTom updated its navigation app for the iPhone and now includes a Local Search function powered by Google. The TomTom app (Version 1.3) is available on the Apple App Store from today.

TomTom app (Version 1.3) for iPhone includes additional advanced features such as: Local Search powered by Google, Music Fading function, Pinch and Zoom for a more detailed view of the navigation map, Automatic Day/Night Mode, and an Add to TomTom Feature that saves locations from other iPhone apps and web browsers straight to the TomTom app.
The TomTom app also comes with TomTom IQ Routes that calculates the fastest route, and Advanced Land Guidance that shows a user which lane to take for an upcoming exit.
TomTom’s Marketing Manager for Australia and New Zealand, Chris Kearney said, “TomTom continues to expand its offering of premium navigation services and features to an ever growing number of TomTom app for iPhone users.”
The Version 1.3 of the TomTom navigation app is available now for iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch. The TomTom app (Version 1.3) is available for free to existing TomTom app customers and $99.99 to new customers.
