TomTom is looking for an Australian to be the new voice of its GPS.To audition for this part, users need to log onto www.bethevoice.com.au and record short grab of directions. All entries go directly into the running to become the voice of Australia, with the best entry of each day receiving a TomTom XL 250 GPS. The winner will receive $10,000 in cold hard cash and will have their voice made available for download on TomTom HOME.
The company claims that this contest runs until the 22nd October, with the winner of the competition being determined by a combination of criteria including quality of entry; adherence to the voice entry instructions and the number of votes entered by the general public.
TomTom Australia and New Zealand’s Marketing Communications Manager, Nick Saisanas said, “We’re really excited about unearthing the next big Australian TomTom GPS voice. We want Australian men and women, from all over the country, to put their hands up and enter.”
“The hunt is on to find an iconic Australian voice that resonates with Aussies, and can represent the Australian accent right around the world. This voice will literally be available to everyone who owns a TomTom GPS unit,” said Saisanas.
