Toshiba Reveal Android Tablet FIRST PICTURE

Toshiba Australia has confirmed that Toshiba will launch an Android and Windows 7 based tablet that will take on the iPad.

Mark Whittard, the CEO of Toshiba Australia, showed a prototype of the new tablet which he said will include a USB port as well as a HDMI port.

The launch is tipped for September or October said Whittard. “We will only reveal the product the day before. This market is brutally competitive and we do not want to tip our hand too much” he said.

Toshiba Japan staff are tipping an initial 7 inch screen however this could be increased to 10 inch shortly after launch.
