Who is the biggest owner of domain names in the USA. The answer might surprise you – but, then again. perhaps not .It is – ah, you guessed it – Donald Trump,
presidential hopeful, who on Tuesday of the coming week takes on Hillary
Clinton in the race to become the next president of the United States of
America.
Donald and his Trump Organization have bought up more than 3600 Web addresses,
according to research firm DomainIQ. The vast majority bear the names of his
properties, products and progeny. There are 274 domains alone featuring the
name of Trump’s daughter Ivanka.
The reasoning becomes obvious when you consider some of the domain names Donald
has purchased. Among them: “donaldtrumpsucks.com”;
“no2trump.com”; “TrumpNetworkFraud.com”;
“DonaldTrumpPonziScheme.com”; and “IHateTrumpVodka.com”.
There are thousands more, many ending with “sucks”.
“Domains are cheap,” branding expert Rebecca Lieb told Associated
Press. “Mopping up when somebody acquires a domain and does something
malicious with it is expensive.”
