SanDisk will release a docking station for its Sansa range of MP3 players, allowing them to play hours of music through a home stereo system or PC speaker set.
The Sansa Base Station also doubles as a docking station for recharging batteries and transferring files to and from a PC.
Users can also control the player with a remote control when it is docked.
The Base Station comes with a power adapter, USB cable, RCA audio cable, remote control and mechanical adapters for each of the supported MP3 players.
The dock only supports the e200 series of MP3 players as well as the brand new c200 series.
The Sansa Base Station will be available in the last three months of 2006, with the RRP expected to be US$69.99.
