The sleek and compact HTC Magic – Vodafone’s first Android-powered mobile device – boasts features such as Firmware-Over-The-Air (FOTA) and Geo-tagging. Additionally, Vodafone will also offer the HTC Magic with an 8GB memory card and a 24-month warranty as standard.

With FOTA, Vodafone customers will always have the very latest Android software on their HTC Magic device as Vodafone will push out firmware upgrades to ensure any improvements, developed over the coming months, are automatically downloaded onto customers’ devices. This ensures customers will always enjoy the best possible user experience with the Vodafone HTC Magic mobile device. The device will also come loaded with Google’s suite of services such as Gmail, Google Maps and Google Search.

Vodafone is offering customers 1GB of data per month on all consumer and business plans to ensure customers are able to make the most of all applications and features, without worrying about their data use.

Edward Goff, General Manager of Consumer Markets at Vodafone Australia said: “The HTC Magic from Vodafone is the perfect mobile device for personal and business customers. The HTC Magic delivers an extensive range of applications, unparalleled ease of use and a truly world class mobile internet experience that ensures our customers can make the most of Vodafone’s high-speed 3G network.”

“With Vodafone offering the HTC Magic for $0 upfront and add-ons such as the 8GB memory card and a 24-month warranty, the HTC Magic provides exceptional value, reliability and absolutely the latest and greatest mobile internet experience to Vodafone customers. Its launch coincides well with Vodafone’s expanding 3G network capabilities, which will cover 94 per cent of the Australian population by August 31, 2009.”
