Vodafone Hutchison Australia has announced that its launching free standard voice calls in Australia, 24×7, between Vodafone and 3 for customers who signed up to a postpaid cap of over $29 a month since March 11, 2010.
Vodafone and 3 customers on the new postpaid caps have been able to make free standard voice calls in Australia Vodafone-to-Vodafone or 3-to-3 since the caps launched, but today that free calling circle just got a lot bigger to almost 6 million customers! The free calls offer for Vodafone customers to 3 customers is currently rolling out and the free calls offer for 3 customers to Vodafone will launch by the end of July.
“With Vodafone and 3 part of the same family it’s a great chance for us to let our customers talk to each other for free and make their cap go even further,” said John Casey, director of marketing at Vodafone Hutchison Australia.
Vodafone customers who have signed up to a new postpaid cap since March 11 will see the free calls itemised on their bills as ‘V23′, so they can spot just how many free calls they are making. When 3’s new postpaid customers get free standard voice calls in Australia to Vodafone by the end of July they will appear as ’32V’.
