Vodafone Offers Dell Netbook Deal

Vodafone launched a mobile broadband plan that comes bundled with a Dell netbook.

The Dell Mini 10 has a built-in 3G modem, allowing users to connect to Vodafone’s mobile broadband without the need for an external USB dongle. It sports a 10.1-inch WSVGA screen, weighs 1.2 kilograms and runs Windows XP (Home Edition). It also has a built-in web camera, Wi-fi, and HDMI output.

Vodafone Hutchison Australia’s Head of Voice and Broadband, Edward Goff, said, “We are thrilled to be launching the impressive Dell Inspiron Mini 10, and bringing customers a straight-forward, low-cost, fuss-free solution, to enjoy internet on-the-go.”

In line with this, Vodafone is taking 50 per cent off its mobile broadband monthly fee for the first 6 months. This offer ends on January 31, 2010.

This means that for a 3GB data plan, users would only have to pay $14.97 (from $29.95) plus $20 for the Mini 10 netbook. Users who opt to get a 6GB plan will pay $19.97 (from $39.95) plus $20 for the first six months.

The Dell Mini 10 is available for purchase from today at selected Vodafone stores.
