It’s iPhone 4 party time with Vodafone Hutchison giving away free access to the slick Sydney night club The Ivy for those of you who want thang out for their midnight store opening.
Vodafone wants consumers to the ditch queues or avoid waiting in the rain and cold, in favour of hanging out at Sydney’s premier entertainment venue.
In a statement issued late today Vodafone said It’s first in, first served from 10.00pm this Thursday night, when the flagship 3 and Vodafone store at 285 George Street, Sydney CBD, will be open for customers to register to buy the much anticipated iPhone 4 and to be amongst the first in Australia on Vodafone and 3 to get their hands on one. Once registered, these customers will be given a number, and rather than wait outside in the cold, they will be given access to an exclusive private party at the Ivy and treated to an evening of food, drinks and entertainment courtesy of Vodafone and 3 while they wait. When the clock strikes 12’oclock midnight, each customer will be escorted down to the 3 and Vodafone store when their number is called to purchase and collect their new iPhone 4.
When: 10pm – register your purchase in store and collect your number
10pm to 3am – private party at the Ivy

Vodafone and 3’s party at the Ivy will be the only place in Sydney to wait-it-out in total comfort and style, where customers will be joined by a special guest DJ, plus there will be a heap of food, drinks, entertainment , prizes and more.
John Casey, Director of Marketing at Vodafone Hutchison Australia, said, “When our valued Vodafone and 3 customers come out on a cold, wet night to buy this highly anticipated device, we don’t want them freezing, waiting in a queue. If they have to wait, we want to look after them in style. At the end of an awesome night, they will walk away with their newly purchased iPhone 4!”
