Whirlpool’s latest range of Crisp grill and convection microwaves are designed to be an alternative to traditional ovens, when you need to cook in a hurry.
Featuring proprietary Crisp technology, the microwaves use three sources of heat to surround the food – so there’s no cold spots, Whirlpool says. The Crisp plate allows you to use metal cookware and can be preheated up to 210 degrees in a claimed two minutes. The Quartz Grill grills the top of the item, while the microwave 3D technology distributes energy evenly, the company says.
The top end Jet Chef convection and crisp model features a 31 litre capacity, LCD control screen and drop down door. Crisp, Steam and Jet functions are all in place, with the latter allowing you to quickly defrost food or automatically select the correct heat source, temperature and time for a particular food. Whirlpool 6th Sense technology is also a feature, it automatically assesses your food and adapts the settings throughout cooking, the company says. Worth considering if you want to cook a sponge-cake in 8 minutes instead of 40!
The Whirlpool Crisp microwaves come with a crisp plate, steamer kit (with strainer & doser), a recipe book and DVD. The Jet Chef oven also includes a – a custom-made baking tray.
