A customer who ordered a 16GB Nexus 7 online was issued a 32GB model. You might be asking: why is this newsworthy? Well, the Nexus 7 only comes in 8GB and 16GB models.
Photos of the tablet were posted to the user’s Twitter account and reveal the device has 27.85GB of free memory.
Although we’d love to see it, Asus and Google haven’t confirmed if a 32GB Nexus 7 is in the works. For all we know, this could be the by-product of an experiment to see how the tablet will handle extra memory. (I imagine with ease.)
The Nexus 7 was met with general acclaim, but among the consistent criticisms was its lack of internal and expandable memory. Doubling the storage would surely keep even harsh critics satisfied. [Via Electronista]
