Aura Interactive has rolled out the BlueZone network which is made up of over 250 Bluetooth hotspots across Australia and which provide consumers free mobile downloads like video, music, ringtones, vouchers and games plus access various location-based information directly to their mobile phones.

These BlueZones are located in major shopping centres, inside the foyers of Hoyts cinemas, across the Melbourne CBD, events like the Australian Motorshow and music festivals as well as visitor attractions such as Sydney Wildlife World, Perisher Blue ski resort and Royal Randwick Racecourse.
As a consumer enters the BlueZone area they are prompted and educated through posters and digital screens to activate Bluetooth on their mobile phone.
The user then receives an ‘invitation’ which appears as a pop-up screen on their handset, which they can choose to accept or decline.
Once the invitation is accepted the user can download the free content, which is saved to their phone and can be shared later amongst friends and family.
It is also 100 per cent free for consumers to interact and download mobile content from BlueZones which are permission-based and also privacy compliant.
