Australian Idol has rolled around for the fourth series and the fun isn’t restricted to the television show.
This time around, Telstra is also running a ‘Street Idol’ competition in conjunction with the reality TV talent quest, which anyone can enter using mobile phones and the Internet.
Hosted by Videos Host and former Australian Idol finalist Axle Whitehead, Telstra Street Idol allows you to head to www.streetidol.com.au and perform one of the selected songs.
You can then record your performance using an MMS-enabled or 3G mobile phone or webcam.
Towards the end of the series, the public will pick the six top clips and Axle will pick his favourites as well. There will then be a final round of voting to determine the winner.
The winner will receive a trip to the Grammys in the US. If they are a Telstra customer they will also receive $20,000 cash.
Visit www.streetidol.com.au for more details.
