BenQ is adding to its local projector line-up, bringing the W3000 home video projector to the Australian market.The W3000 achieves the Rec. 709 standard for HD colour reproduction, with BenQ stating that it has been “precision calibrated utilising a six-times speed RGBRGB colour wheel with finely tuned coating and colour segments to replicate stunning true colours for a superb viewing experience”.
It is equipped with a 1080p full-HD optimised optical system, and additionally features vertical and horizontal lens shift, side projection, short-throw technology, 1.5x zoom and full-HD wireless connectivity.
The W3000’s Video Enhancer features include Motion Enhancer, Colour Enhancer, Pixel Enhancer and Flesh Tone Enhancer, with it also decked out with speakers housed in resonant sound chambers along with BenQ CinemaMaster Audio Enhancer powered by MaxxAudio.

BenQ states that projector set-up can be achieved in a few minutes, and that with versatile short-throw projection a 100″ viewing area is possible at 2.5 metres.
The Big Zoom feature adapts to any room configuration, while vertical lens shift allows the projected image to be shifted up or down, with horizontal placement possible with the W3000’s H/V lens shift functionality, and side projection with 2D keystone also available.
An optional Wireless Full HD kit allows streaming of uncompressed 1080p content to the projector, also in 3D.
The W3000 is priced at $3,299.00 RRP.
