Following Friday’s announcement of Game closing 60 shops, administrators PwC has revealed which locations will be getting the chop.
And it appears most store closures will be in regional towns rather than larger city areas and centres.
Struggling games retailer will lay off 264 store and 17 head office workers – around half of its total workforce in Australia – it was announced late Friday.
The full listing of Game store closures across Oz are as follows:
23 shops in NSW including: Albury, Armidale, Ballina, Castle Hill, Charlestown, Eastgardens, Grafton, Griffith, Hornsby, Kotara, Lakehaven, Lismore, Manning Mall Taree, Narellan, Orange, Port Macquarie, Riverside Mall Queanbeyan, Tamworth, Tweed City, Warrawong, Warringah Mall, Wollongong.

13 in Queensland including: Cairns Central, Cairns Smithfield, Cairns Stockland, Calamvale, Capalaba, Kingaroy, Loganholme, Kawana, Morayfield, Robina, Toowoomba, Townsville, Willows Shoppingtown (Thuringowa).
12 in Victoria: Bayside Frankston, Bendigo, Broadmeadows, Camberwell, Cheltenham, Epping Plaza, Greensborough, Knox City, Shepparton, Watergardens, Wendouree, Werribee.
8 in Western Australia: Armadale, Forrest Chase, Gateway, Innaloo, Joondalup, Kingsway, Mandurah, Midland Gate.South Australia (3): Arndale, Marion, Renmark.
Finally just one Game store in ACT located at Canberra Centre will be shut.
This will mean more than 60% of Game’s 92 shops nationally will be shut, beleived to be taking place in the coming days.
