Google Nexus Prime Transforms Market With Amazing Specs

Google’s Nexus range features a pure, unadulterated version of Android software, exactly how Google intended it to be. With the upcoming Ice Cream Sandwich approaching, Google have commissioned Samsung to make its third generation smartphone and the rumoured specs are enough to make your jaw drop.

Even Optimus would be proud of the Nexus’ specs
The Nexus Prime will be the third Google phone in the range and is being manufactured by Samsung, who has been on a hot streak when it comes to making phones (and tablets) harbouring an orgy of technological brilliance.

For starters Prime is said to be the first Android phone with a HD 720p display. Take a moment to appreciate that achievement, with 4.65 inch phone running the same resolution (1280 x 720) as modern televisions. That’s a big deal.

It will also be powered by a 1.5GHz Texas Instruments OMAP processor, and that’s not the ample single core you find in Sony Ericsson’s top of the range flagship phone: that’s a market-leading, game-changing dual core processor.

Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) is also a big deal, with the OS fusing Gingerbread mobile capabilities with Honeycomb tablet innovations. Honeycomb’s ‘holographic’ interface, widgets, peripheral connectivity options and detailed task manager will be embedded into ICS, and the Prime will be the first phone running the promising updated OS.

Since the software hasn’t been tampered with, such as Samsung’s Hubs, Sony Ericsson’s Timescape and HTC’s Sense to name a few, Nexus updates are available as soon as Google release them.

Rumour has it the Nexus Prime will be priced similarly to the market’s current top dog, the Galaxy S2. And for those concerned Samsung is investing the very best of their gear in a rival phone, don’t stress because the company is working on their just-as-impressive Galaxy Note.

Different release dates seem to be floating around, but the most persistent is November in the UK, so Aus would undoubtedly be a month or two behind.
