Parrot is set to launch its quadricopter that can be controlled by an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad in Australia next week.

Unveiled at CES, the AR.Drone comes with an on-board Wi-Fi system, allowing users to create a ‘game party’ where players can join and play against each other. This multiplayer game called AR.Flying Ace makes it possible to have a battle between two AR.Drone. Hulls are available in three different colours to easily identify your AR.Drone.
The Parrot AR.Drone has been designed for both inside and outside use. It comes with a full hull shield that protects the AR.Drone from impacts indoors while its streamlined hull is aerodynamic, allowing greater control outside.
The unit also comes with two cameras, allowing you to ‘get inside’ the cockpit of your AR.Drone. Two cameras are embedded, one on the front and one underneath facing the ground. This allow users to play augmented reality games on the iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad.
