Motorola Launches Battery-Saving Speakerphone

Motorola has released a new in-car speakerphone that automatically powers off as soon a user leaves the car.

According to the company, the T325 automatically powers on as soon as you open the car door and turns itself off when you get out. It provides up to 17 hours of talk time and up to two and a half weeks of standby time. The device clips to a car’s sun visor and comes with a big pickup/end call button for easy operation. The speakerphone also comes with dual speakers, noise reduction capabilities, and saves your contacts on the device.

The SmartHouse Team had a bit of time with the device and as soon as we synchronised our BlackBerry to the T325, it was able to download ‘Caller ID information.’ In our case, the unit stored all the recent calls we had on our phone, which included saved contacts and unknown numbers. We were able to scroll through the numbers by pressing the volume keys and perform a call by pressing the ‘call’ button. The speakers were loud and we were able to hear the person on the other line, although our contact said that we sounded far away.

Motorola’s Business Manager for Companion Products in Australia and New Zealand said, “The Motorola T325 In-Car Speakerphone has been designed with all drivers in mind. The clip and go design, powerful dual speakers, automated on/ off function and favourites contact list are just a few of the features we have incorporated to keep you focused on the road and connected to your calls. The T325 makes it even easier for people to use Bluetooth technology to stay in contact.”

The Motorola T325 In-Car Speakerphone is available now for $99.
