New Kitchen Appliances From Kenwood

Kenwood has launched the FP950 Versatile Food Processor and the BM256 Bread Maker, two new kitchen appliances that aims to complement today’s kitchens, the company says.

The FP950 is a versatile food processor that has a built-in electronic ‘add ‘n’ weigh’ scale that displays the weight of the bowl contents on an illuminated LED screen. This device enables a user to accurately weigh the amount of each ingredient as one adds it to the bowl.

The standard attachments include: knife blades; a shredding/slicing disc; a fine shredding and slicing disc; julienne disc; a rasping disc; dough tool; twin geared metal whisk; metal centrifugal juicer and citrus juicer; a mini bowl and blade; and a glass multi-mill. The stainless steel blades and discs enable homemakers to effortlessly shred, slice, whisk, puree, blend or juice just about any ingredient, the company says.

The company’s MB256 is a bread maker that claims to make and bake a loaf of bread in under an hour. Kenwood’s BM256 Bread Maker has 12 preset programmes that include gluten free and packet mix options. It also gives users a choice of tree loaf sizes – 500g, 750g, and 1kg in a horizontal loaf pan with a choice of crusts (light, medium, or dark).

The unit also has a 15 hour delay timer and a one hour keep warm function, allowing a user to set the bread maker to bake the bread an hour before waking up or arriving home. Other convenient features include a clear LCD display with program status, large viewing window, and non-stick coated bread pan.

Availability and Pricing

Kenwood’s FP950 food processor and BM256 Bread Maker is now available with an RRP of $399 and $199 respectively.
