Viewsonic Announces 2ms Grey-to grey Widescreen LCD

ViewSonic has unveiled the VX1940W, a 19-inch LCD monitor that claims to have a 2ms (millisecond) grey-to-grey response time, widescreen format, a resolution of 1680 x 1050, and Dynamic Contrast Ratio (DCR) technology.

The company claims that this LCD has been designed for gamers and multimedia enthusiasts who want to enjoy even viewing that is completely free of distortion and in the best possible quality.

Besides multiple inputs, wide viewing angles, high brightness and 2ms response time, the VX1940W also promises a Dynamic Contrast Ratio (DCR) up to 3000:1. The DCR technology adjusts black levels based on screen content, allowing for darker black levels, higher contrast, and a significant reduction of light leakage on darker screens.

Finally, the company says that this 19-inch display will be one of the first models that will come in a brand new design.

Price and availability have yet to be determined.
