REVEALED: Telstra Midnight iPad Run

Telstra are to open their doors at 12.01am tomorrow, as it awaits the masses eager to get their mitts on ‘new iPad’ before dawn.
Telstra just confirmed it will “throwing open the doors to its Sydney (George St) and Melbourne (Bourke St) flagship stores at 12.01am Friday morning so that customers will have the chance to get in early to purchase the new iPad.”

But its only Sydney and Melbourne that are on the midnight iPad run so other cities like Brisbane, Canberra and Perth will have to wait til later in the day – 8am to be precise.

The midnight rush comes despite Apple Stores not opening their doors until 8am either. Two words: expect queues especially since Apple online has already sold out with a waiting time of 2-3 weeks.

Optus and Vodafone are taking a more measured approach and will begin selling Apple’s cult tab during regular trading hours, although the former will kick off online sales just after midnight tonight.

Get the full listing of all Telstra Stores which will be iPad ready from tommorrow 16 March.
