Skype has released the latest version of its software for business and consumer Mac users. Skype 2.6 will even include a feature which is yet to be available for Windows users.
The new call-transfer feature, exclusive to the Mac platform, allows you to transfer an ongoing call to another Skype user on your contact list. Something which will be useful for businesses as well as consumers, the company says.
“With 2.6 we have launched a new feature on Mac first, demonstrating our commitment to this fast-growing segment of Skype users,” said Skype’s Carter Adamson.
The other software updates allow Mac users to “catch-up” to features previously available to other platforms, including join public chats, chat typing indicator (seeing when others are writing a message), Skype Prime, automatic updates and DTMF tones for automatic answering services available also during Skype-to-Skype calls.
