3 Mobile announced that customers who sign up to its new post-paid cap plans will now get free mobile internet access to social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare.3 says that due to the popularity of various social media sites, it has introduced free 24/7 mobile access within Australia for the life of new voice contracts to Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, LinkedIN, and Foursquare.
“Free mobile access to the Sites is only available within Australia via their respective mobile sites when accessed via the Planet 3 portal, mobile web or via their official handset applications. Standard data charges will apply for any external links accessed via any of the Sites,” said the company.
Vodafone Hutchison Australia’s General Manager of Internet and Services, Amanda Hutton said, “3 wants to offer Australian customers the freedom of socialising on the go, without having to worry about data costs and download limits. With our new offer of free social networking, people never need to miss another status update again.”
The offer is available to all new and existing customers who have a compatible handset & sign up to a new postpaid voice contract with 3 from 1 July 2010.
