Toshiba jumps on the Chromebook bandwagon
Joining Samsung, HP and Acer, Toshiba has released its version of Google
Chromebook – the lite notebook, designed for browsing the web and other internet chores.

Debuted at
CES 2014, Toshiba
Chromebook – the first with a 13.3-inch diagonal HD display – is now available in Australia and New Zealand.
The 13.3″
inch HD Chromebook (1366 x 768) screen resolution runs Intel
Haswell dual – core processor, promising up to nine hours of battery life.
At A$399 its
slightly pricier than its Samsung rival, and priced the same as Acer’s newest
Chromebook.
Toshiba’s
answer to Chromebook also has a HD webcam, 2 X USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, SD Card slot
and inbuilt Wi-Fi.
It comes
with 100GB of Google Drive Cloud Storage for 2 years, and also has Google apps
Gmail, YouTube and Google Maps.
It weighs
1.5 kg, with a slim 2.02 cm profile.

Chrome OS
allows fast page loads, secure computing and syncing across all devices –
PCs, smartphones and tablets.
